🧵 Texture Trends

  1. Tactile Layering
Lots of emphasis on materials you can feel: bouclé fabrics, wool throws, chunky knits. Layered rugs, cushions, wall hangings etc. for depth and comfort.

  2. Natural & Raw Materials
Wood (especially raw or lightly finished), stone, clay, unglazed ceramic, rattan, cane. These kinds of textures help reinforce the earthy colour palettes and biophilic-look.

  3. Velvet & Soft Luxe Fabrics
Velvet upholstery, cushions, sometimes even drapes — bringing a sense of luxury, warmth, richness.

  4. Layered Rugs & Floor Textures
Combining rugs: e.g. a natural fibre base (jute, sisal) topped with patterned wool runners, or mixing pile textures.

  5. Statement Stone / Marble / Sculptural Elements
Dramatic veining in marble/quartz, travertine, even limestone. Using these in focal surfaces or decorative pieces to contrast soft textiles.

  6. Curves / Organic Forms
Rounded & soft edges in furniture or architectural features: curved sofas, arched mirrors, organic shapes in ceramics. These intersect with texture (e.g. fluted woods or curved bouclé pieces).
